These terms describe the conditions for using BeaglePDF’s website, compression tools, and Developer API. Please review them together with our Privacy Policy and File retention & deletion details before submitting files or requests. Contact Support if you have questions.

Your documents and responsibilities

You retain ownership of your documents. By submitting a document or source URL, you authorize BeaglePDF and its infrastructure providers to retrieve, temporarily store, process, and return it to provide the requested service. You must have the rights and permission to submit the document and any personal information it contains.

Keep your original files and check compressed results before relying on them. Compression may affect image quality, metadata, signatures, or other document features. Some documents may not become smaller or may fail to process. BeaglePDF is not a backup or archival service.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, submit malicious files, access another customer’s jobs, probe private networks, bypass limits or authentication, or interfere with availability. Use source URLs and callback endpoints you are authorized to use. Protect your account credentials, API keys, and signed links, and report suspected unauthorized access.

Developer license: application integration and resale

The Developer plan permits you to integrate BeaglePDF compression into your own applications and business workflows, including commercial applications used by your customers, where compression supports the application’s broader functionality. For example, you may compress documents submitted through your application before storing them or sending them to another system. You may charge for your application subject to these terms and your plan’s limits.

The Developer plan does not permit you to resell, sublicense, or repackage BeaglePDF’s compression capabilities as a standalone PDF compression service or as a principal feature of a competing PDF tools service. This includes operating your own service similar to BeaglePDF or Smallpdf using BeaglePDF to process customers’ PDFs, offering a white-label compression website, or providing third parties with a compression API or command-line service backed by BeaglePDF. This restriction applies whether the offering is paid or free and whether it uses your branding or BeaglePDF’s, and covers both the hosted API and any BeaglePDF command-line tools supplied under the Developer plan.

These resale and competing-service uses require a separate written Enterprise license agreement with BeaglePDF that expressly authorizes the proposed use. An Enterprise account alone does not grant resale rights. Contact us about Enterprise licensing before offering such a service, or if you are unsure whether your intended use qualifies as application integration.

API and service operation

API jobs run asynchronously. Acceptance of a job does not guarantee successful compression. Webhooks may be delayed, retried, or delivered more than once; integrations should verify signatures and handle duplicates. Limits, storage windows, and available features may vary by plan and configuration.

We may restrict or suspend access to address abuse, security issues, legal requirements, or misuse. Service interruptions and changes can occur; no uptime or support-response guarantee is provided unless separately agreed in writing.

Plans and payments

Any paid purchase is subject to the price, included features, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms presented at checkout or in a separate agreement. A feature described as planned or coming soon is not a commitment to a delivery date. Contact Support with billing or plan questions.

Where subscription checkout is offered, prices are in USD and subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual price until canceled. There is no free trial or setup fee unless explicitly stated at checkout. Cancel renewal through your BeaglePDF billing page or PayPal before the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewal and preserves access through the confirmed paid period; it does not automatically refund past payments. Contact Support for refund requests or plan changes. Failed renewal payments do not extend the paid access period. Refunds or payment reversals may remove access associated with the affected payment. Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.

Checkout marked “sandbox” is for designated test accounts and does not collect real payments. Sandbox access is for testing and is not a live paid subscription.

File availability and support

Download results promptly. Temporary links expire and files are cleaned up automatically as described in our retention policy. A support ticket is confirmation that your request was recorded, not a guarantee of a particular outcome or response time. Do not send emergency requests or sensitive credentials through the support form.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, suitability for a particular purpose, or preservation of every document feature. To that same extent, BeaglePDF is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may revise these terms as the service evolves and will identify the effective date here. Contact Support to ask about these terms or request help with your use of the service.
